In a February interview with CNN’s Larry King, Vice President Biden had this to say, “About Iraq, I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration.”
“This could be one of the great achievements of this administration” probably defines Biden better than any statement he’s ever made.
Biden first voted to send troops into Iraq. Then, while troops were fighting our enemies, Biden switched his position based on the political climate. Biden argued against the troop surge and against the advice of our military commanders. He said the surge failed while evidence said it was succeeding.
Now Biden seeks to More >

Experience was a conditional topic of debate during the last presidential campaign. Vice presidential and presidential candidates were pressed to produce evidence of the requisite experience necessary to lead our nation. All candidates except for one: Barack Obama.
With “thrills going up their legs” courtesy of Obama euphoria, the left-leaning media failed to seek from Obama the credentials demanded of other candidates. The media acted as if Obama came to the campaign with the experience necessary to assume the most challenging position on planet Earth.
But it was experience implied, never verified.
Barack Obama was the least experienced of all candidates. And with More >

This is what Democratic Senator Harry Reid wanted.
Issue an apology. Then wait while his party and its supporters defend the indefensible, justify what cannot be justified, forgive what cannot be forgiven.
Reid didn’t have to wait long. After all, liberals are quick to defend wicked behavior that comes from within.
It’s the double standard in which we live.
Perhaps you don’t remember. Maybe haven’t heard of the story. It’s been a month since Reid’s unpardonable racial insults were revealed. And the protector of all things liberal, the extraneous media, quickly washed their hands of it.
So I’ll provide a refresher.

A pick-up truck driving, conservative-sounding candidate was not supposed to win the Massachusetts Senate seat vacated by the death of Ted Kennedy.
There was no chance the unknown, Scott Brown, would defeat the entitled liberal Democrat, Martha Coakley, in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 3-1.
After all, the Massachusetts Senate was owned by the Democratic Party. It was Ted Kennedy’s for over four decades. A Republican hadn’t won a Senate race here since 1972.
And it looked like a shoo-in. Just a few months ago polls had Coakley ahead by over 30 points.
Yet as the election approached, the More >

Hello Al. I hope my note finds you in good spirits. It’s been a while. Let’s catch up.
I’m glad you are finally over that messy 2000 Florida recount. For weeks we watched the horror story entitled, “Life as a dangling chad.” The dimpled darlings were inspected from every angle imaginable. Talk about your full body scan.
But alas, not even your friends in the press could flip enough of the pesky perforations in your favor. You lost, Al. I’m glad you let it go.
Besides, you’re Global Warming gig has you livin large. You must be grinning ear-to-ear watching the carbon credit More >

In mid-December, the diva of daytime television, Oprah Winfrey, hosted the primetime special “Christmas at the White House.” It was the perfect opportunity to ring in holiday cheer while checking politics at the door.
Sadly, Winfrey could not. She was compelled to ask President Obama to grade himself on his first 11 months in office.
It was a ridiculous question because of the setting. It was more preposterous because it came from Winfrey.
It’s reported Winfrey never endorsed a presidential candidate before Obama. Why she felt a sudden urge to enthusiastically stump for candidate Obama is her business. Her reasons are of no interest More >

On Dec 11, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 4173: “WALL STREET REFORM AND CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT OF 2009.” The vote was 223-202 as 27 Democrats joined every Republican in voting against the legislation.
I commend the representatives that voted against this bill and therefore voted for the American people. I hope enough Senators have the courage to kill it. (List of votes for the Bill, and List of votes against the bill, and List of those who did not vote)
It’s understandable if Americans haven’t heard about H.R. 4173. We’ve been suffocated the past eleven months with initiatives intended to strengthen government control More >
